Whitney

In 2020, I fell into unhealthy eating patterns as a result of trying to start my “fitness journey” with very little information or guidance on nutrition and overall health and wellness. It was very easy to buy into diet culture and the idea that in order to feel beautiful or have any value I needed to be thin and fit a certain beauty standard that I believed could only be achieved through restriction. However, poor nutrition and overexercise led me to countless injuries and discomfort, feelings of worthlessness, mood swings, digestive issues, and my mental health ultimately deteriorated tremendously as a result of feeling like I’d never “get it right.”

I tried to make changes but felt like I was navigating it in the dark, and slipping back into old habits until I found The Nourished Path. She was so beyond understanding and didn’t make me feel crazy for the point I’d gotten to. We took things slow as she evaluated my routine and diet and then set very maintainable goals for my exercise and food that were aimed to help me reach my physique goals while also healing my relationship with food and getting my body back to good health. It was very scary for me at first, and I honestly had my doubts that it’d work, but the progress I made was so great.

Food variety, eating 2-3 times more, less cardio, more lifting, more rest days

I saw results I didn’t think were possible to achieve without excessive cardio and diet restriction. I now love the meals I make, and I truly enjoy my workouts and fitness as a whole. I not only repaired my metabolism, but also my quality of life. Above all, I learned that balance is very possible, and my favorite part of all of this is that I’ve found it from working with Bonnie.

I feel completely prepared to do this on my own now, which I never thought was possible 8 months ago. Working with Bonnie and The Nourished Path has completely changed my life and repaired my relationship with food and exercise, which has even inspired me to do something nutrition related in my future. I couldn’t have done this without her, and I really hope that if you or someone you know needs help with nutrition, you pursue The Nourished Path because it is worth every penny.
