Better Nutrition Doesn’t Have to Mean More Restriction
If you found me through the Autoimmune Health Vault, welcome!
I’m Bonnie Campbell, a Registered Dietitian and weight loss coach, and my approach to nutrition is pretty simple:
Before we start taking foods away, I want to make sure we’re giving your body enough of what it actually needs.
That means evidence-based nutrition, practical strategies, and a lot fewer unnecessary food rules.
What can this approach look like in real life? Meet Kristen
Kristen has rheumatoid arthritis and came to us wanting to lose weight without making food even more complicated. Instead of handing her a massive list of foods she could no longer eat, we focused heavily on what she could add: more protein, better-balanced meals, nourishing foods she enjoyed, and realistic changes she could actually maintain.
The result: 28 pounds of fat lost, while living with rheumatoid arthritis, working nightshift as a nurse and having 2 busy teenagers!
She also reported feeling better and experiencing less inflammation along the way. Her plan wasn’t about eating the smallest number of foods possible. It was about figuring out what worked for her.
Meet Amber!
Amber also has rheumatoid arthritis. She was working out, but her workouts left her exhausted and sore, and the weight wasn’t budging.
Coach Kendal (who has Crohn’s and has had her own weight loss journey) helped Amber identify which foods were contributing to her inflammation, and what foods she needed to add to make her diet work FOR her, not against her.
